A human skin cell has 46 chromosomes. After Mitosis, how many chromosomes will each new skin cell have?
46
Reply:46... Mitosis keeps the cells at a diploid number
Reply:46 because the daughter cells have the same number of chromosomes as the parent cells in mitosis
Reply:46. Mitosis divides the chromosomes evenly, or else DNA mutation would occur, and we would mutate... which wouldn't be good... xD

Hope that helps!

Reply:46 chromosomes. after even in mitosis, its the same.
Reply:A human skin cell will have 46 chromosomes after the cell splits during the cell cycle. the cell splits to form new cells and will maintain the chromosome number
Reply:184
Reply:mitosis keeps at the regular # of chromosomes.

if it was diploid, it stayed diploid.

if was haploid to begin with, it stayed haploid.
