nylon = slippery/smooth, has a stiffness. Keeps in body heat for warmth - - body don't 'breathe' thru it. Good for jackets.
polyester = smooth, delicate, limp, snags easily. Keeps in body heat - - body don't 'breathe' thru it. Pretty for blouse.
Rayon = similar to cotton but has sizing added for body. When washed in water, sizing (sizing is like a soft starching) will be gone and it isn't truly rayon unless you readd sizing again. Body can 'breathe' thru it. Makes nice dress suits and dresses.
None of fabrics are known for common allergies or a skin irritant.
