In the Simpsons, why are all the human's skin yellow?

They ran out of caucasian ink at the animators in Korea and it was too expensive to buy more at the time, but they had more yellow than they'd ever use. So they just used yellow, and they had to keep it once they started it.

In the Simpsons, why are all the human's skin yellow?
Its cartoon and its just how the writer wanted it.
