How are dead epidermal cells replaced by new epidermal cells in forg and human skin?

Skin, grows from the deep layers outwards.

The superficial layer of the skin, is called the epidermis, and is formed by 5 layers of cells, that are from deep to surface:

1.- Basal layer

2.- Epicanthal layer (acanthocytes),

3,. Translucid layer,

4,- Queratinocytes ( precursors of queratine)

5,. Keratine...

The queratine or Keratine (same thing) is a layer composed by dried dead cells, that are not anchored to the deeper layer.

They end up drying up and falling with bath, warm baths, etc (mechanical hygiene), and are substituted with more keratine en the next 2 days, by the queratinocytes below.....so its a constant turnover that arise from the basal layer (germinal layer)

How are dead epidermal cells replaced by new epidermal cells in forg and human skin?
Dead cells fall off and new cells are formed by mitosis (cells make copies of themselves).
